ARM Cortex M0+ by NXP announced for $0.39

Available in DIP8 and TSSOP packages, this 32bit microcontroller is based on the Cortex M0+ core, targeting the 8 bit market and could be a strong competitor, with an announced starting price of $0.39.

One of the nice features is the internal matrix, allowing to access internal features (UART, SPI, timers etc) on almost any pin.
